Service Uniform (Class B)

  • 1 Blue Shirt – Short Sleeve
  • 1 White V-Neck undershirt (NO crewneck)
  • 1 Blues Pants (Females approved for blue skirt)
  • 1 Flight Cap w/ hat device insignia
  • 1 Blues belt w/chrome buckle and tip
  • 1 Pair black dress socks (females approved for neutral shade hose)
  • 1 Pair shirt garters (OPTIONAL)
  • 1 Complete set of ribbons, cadet grade insignia, and cadet nametag
  • 1 Pair black military low quarter dress shoes, lace-up (females authorized to wear black military issue pumps)

WORKING AND UTILITY UNIFORMS

  • 2 ABU Shirts
  • 2 ABU Pants
  • 1 ABU – Desert Tan w/ open face buckle and subdued (black) tip.
  • 1 CAPR 39-1 Compliant ABU cover
  • 8 Pair boot socks
  • 2 Pair blousing bands or alternative (OPTIONAL)
  • 1 Pair plain, black combat/jungle/jump boot SHINED
  • 8 Desert Tan T-Shirts– must be plain with no lettering/decoration
  • 1 Hydration gear ( Camelbak© or similar type preferred, web belt w/canteens acceptable) (See note 3)

FITNESS TRAINING UNIFORM (FTU)

  • 3 Pair black athletic shorts/sweatpants; plain – no logos or decoration (as close as possible)
  • 1 Pair athletic shoes (basketball shoes/cleats not authorized)
  • 1 Black sweatshirt or windbreaker; plain – no logos or decoration (as close as possible)
  • 9 Pairs black athletic socks

PERSONAL CLOTHING ITEMS

  • 9 Pair Undergarments
  • 2-3 Set(s) of appropriate sleep attire
  • Pair shower shoes (for use in the shower)

PERSONAL HYGIENE ITEMS

  • 1 Liquid body soap or Bar in covered soap dish
  • 3 Towels
  • 3 Washcloths (or alternative)
  • 1 Shampoo (Conditioner if you require it)
  • 1 Comb/Brush
  • 1 Deodorant (Non-Aerosol)
  • 1 Foot powder
  • 1 Toothbrush/Toothpaste (With a 1 gallon ziploc bag)
  • 1 Shaving kit (razor, cream etc NO ELECTRIC RAZORS)
  • 1 Sunscreen (Also needed for ES training pack)
  • 1 Insect Repellent (Also needed for ES training pack)
  • 1 Lip balm with sunscreen (Also needed for ES training pack)
  • 1 Pair shower shoes
  • 1 small shower bag
  • Feminine Hygiene Products (Pads and/or tampons)

MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS & EQUIPMENT

  • Current CAP ID and 101 Card (Less than 7 days old)
  • 1 Permanent BLACK marker
  • 1 Small Notepad with Pen/Pencil (Also needed for ES training pack)
  • 3 Black Pens
  • 1 Hanger per utility/service uniform (See note 2)
  • 1 Sewing Kit (Optional)
  • 1 Flashlight w/extra batteries
  • 1 Ruler, 6-12″ (Also needed for ES training pack)
  • 1 Laundry Bag (To store dirty clothes)
  • 1 Swimsuit for showers (optional)
  • Medications: All medications must be brought in original container (Pill containers acceptable but original container is still required). Bring them in a ziploc bag with Name/CAPID on the outside.
  • 1 Rain poncho (suggested black or green)
  • 1 Shoe shine kit (NO LIQUID POLISH)
  • 1 Pillow with white Pillow Case
  • 1 Sleeping bag (Capable of handling colder nights)
  • 1 Blanket
  • 1 Suitcase/Duffel Bag (See Note 1)

EMERGENCY SERVICES TRAINING ITEMS (SUBJECT TO CANCELLATION)

  • 1 Backpack (Sized for this gear, and other items referenced, to fit in it)
  • 1 Safety Vest, Reflective
  • 1 Compass, Orienteering
  • 1 Small notepad with Pen/Pencil
  • 1 Watch (Only worn during ES activities – Cadet staff wears full time)
  • 1 Whistle
  • 50′ Nylon line (paracord or similar)
  • 1 Pair Gloves, Leather
  • 4 Moist towelettes, in wrapper

First Aid Kit – Stored in ZipLoc or waterproof container
2 Antiseptic Cleaning Pads
6 Band-Aids, Various Sizes
Moleskin, 2” X 4”
1 Triangular Bandage or cloth measuring 36” X 36” X 51”
Tape, First Aid
Nitrile Gloves (2 Pair minimum)

NOTE 1: Choose a suitcase or duffle bag that you can easily access equipment from. Choose something that you can always keep your property in, but still easily access everything.

NOTE 2: Bring uniforms on the hangars pre-pressed and wrinkle free (if applicable).  Garment bags are highly suggested for these uniforms.  Do not pack your service, or utility, uniforms in your bag

NOTE 3: Summer months in New Mexico can be extremely hot and dry. All Students will bring hydration gear to the encampment. The preferred type is the Camelback© or similar. The gear should match the camouflage pattern of the uniform worn or be plain black. Students may wear web belts with canteens as an alternative (Not suggested). Bring a spare bladder if bringing a hydration pack.
